New Applications of Wireless Networks

New Applications of Wireless Networks

Wireless networks, e.g. WiFi applied at home, are normally applied for communication with persons or media sources.

Under specific conditions it is possible to obtain information, characterizing parts of the physical space, through which the communication is carried out.

The talk presents examples on this and possible future applications within a selection of very different areas.

These might be monitoring if persons are moving around on e.g. building construction sites outside the normal working hours or if persons are moving around indoor in e.g. storage areas of e.g. private homes within timeframes where no human movement is expected in these areas.

The lecture may also be held in danish.
