Creating safe spaces and engaging with the scary future

Creating safe spaces and engaging with the scary future

This workshop will help participants create safe spaces to explore and engage with the potentially scary future, arming them with the tools and language to make sense of it.

The images of the global future can be scary, anxiety-provoking, or leave us feeling hopeless.

Questions that naturally arise are: “Do I have a safe place in this world? What will happen? How can I find my purpose under a potential global threat? How to avoid nihilism and despair? Can I have a good life?”

Some of us close our eyes and engage in consumerism, others may become totally immobilised. The challenge is to create a sustainable future for oneself and the world, to navigate the large amount of uncertainties.

This hands-on workshop and discussion aims to help the participants explore the images and challenges of the future and develop strategies to navigate the uncertainties.
