The art and science of light and what I talk about with strangers in bars

I will share with you what fascinates me the most about light: how we perceive it, how we have used it through history, and how its properties explain phenomena such as rainbows, butterfly wings, and why you can skate on ice.

I have spent a great part of my life talking about light, and yes, it is true that I talk with strangers in bars about it.

We will talk about how we use and perceive light in everyday life, why is the morning sky blue and the sunset red? How do we know that the universe is expanding? Why can lizards walk on walls? What are the quantum properties of light? And what it means to have a non-binary nature.

The subject is huge and the topics covered will be different depending on the audience.
