
Reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression through self-care strategies
Workshop about self-care strategies linked to diet and physical activity in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.
During the workshop we will:
- Together explore a broader spectrum of self-care strategies we can apply while struggling with anxiety and depression.
- Have a closer look at the connection between our mental health, physical activity, and the food we eat.
- Investigate how to make eating right and exercise routines your ally in reducing your anxiety and depression symptoms.
- Provide examples of physical activities and try a 2-minute exercise routine.
- Specify examples of nutritious foods, foods to avoid while struggling with anxiety and depression, and how to prepare yourself for changing your food habits.
- Inspect positive psychology exercises as a support in building resilience, which can be used supplementary before, during, and after therapy.
- Discuss how to build up our motivation and what to expect in this time of change.
Behind the workshop is Anna Sircova, founder of the Creative Time Studio and ph.d. in Psychology. She has over 20 years of research experience in exploring the concept of time.
